More than 20.000 patients are treated at "M.S. Curie" Emergency Children's Hospital every year, a hospital that not only takes cases from the country's capital, but also severe cases from around the country. One of the largest children's hospitals in the country needs equipment and state-of-the-art machines to fight for the lives of its little patients.

Dăruiește Viață is equipping "Marie S. Curie" Hospital with medical devices, to turn it into a reference center, a hospital of the future where, apart from the 21st center infrastructure we're building through the #NoiFacemUnSpital project, the patients and staff can benefit from the latest technologies as well.

LASER DIODE Donation date: August 2020 Investment: EUR 32,962.45 Utility: the laser diode is used for local relapses of eye cancers (like retinoblastomas) and to treat retinopathies of prematurity. Before purchasing this device, eye cancer relapses could only be treated abroad, in France or Switzerland. More details here ​ **MOBILE RADIOLOGY EQUIPMENT ** Donation date: July 2020 Investment: EUR 66,596.21 Utility: this device allows staff to take X-rays at the patient's bed, if they cannot move or be moved. ​ SURGICAL MICROSCOPE Donation date: March 2020 Investment: approx. EUR 246,887.96 Utility: the microscope is used in the Neurosurgery department, for brain or marrow surgery where an extraordinary precision is required. ​ ULTRASOUND GENERATOR Donation date: August 2020 Investment: approx. EUR 67,287.78 Utility: this device is used in the Neurosurgery department, to excise spinal and brain tumors.

PEDIATRIC VIDEOLARYNGOSCOPY SYSTEM Donation date: December 2020 Investment: approx. EUR 18.360 Partner: The Embassy of Israel in România Utility: the system is used in the ICU, for intubations and other difficult interventions concerning the respiratory tract. On average, it is used for 5 patients every day.
