These days, tens of thousands of Ukrainians have to face two different wars: the war outside, with real soldiers, bombs and air raids, and the war within, with the disease. These are the chronically ill, the people who end up in the hospital with various afflictions, the victims of the war outside, their families and the medical staff.

We’re thinking of them. The children and adults with severe diseases, like cancer. The wounded. The doctors. The nurses. How can they fight for life in hospitals or in the places where they are sheltering because of the war? Do they still have access to the treatments they need? What are their resources? How long will they last? What are their chances?

The Emergency Fund for Ukraine was created for this very purpose – to help the patients and their families, the people fighting this war. For medicines, medical equipment or the resources needed to go on with their treatment and fight for their lives.

We’re identifying specific needs and offering support. We’re keeping in touch with several contacts in Ukraine, to find out what they need and redirect our help towards the people who need it.
