Detaliile proiectului

Through this project, we managed to change the Ministerial Order No. 50/2004 in Order No. 1011/2011. After two years of constant efforts (the action began in November 2009), we convinced the people responsible to change the Ministerial Order that sent patients to get treated abroad (because the Romanian medical system was incapable of providing solutions in their own country) into a procedure with exact terms for file management, which will be able to make the budget of the Ministry of Health more effective and will give these people a chance to live.

The petition to change the order was signed by over 9.000 people.

PRIZE: Our action received the “Salveaza Vieti, ucide birocratia” (Save Lives, Kill the Bureaucracy) prize at the Prizes for Public Participation Gala, organized under the patronage of the Norwegian Embassy.

We would like to thank Andreea Marin for joining us in this project, as well as Gorghiu si Asociatii law firm.

The campaign was organized through volunteer work, within the Save Lives association.
